WLT Staff
For the first time ever, you can join us from anywhere in the world! We are livestreaming select sessions throughout the entire weekend. All general sessions and every session held in Texas 5-7 will be livestreamed and available for viewing during the conference. You'll even be able to ask questions and chat with other attendees in the chatbox. All you need to do is click the button below.

Please remember this livestream is for conference registrants only. Do not share it.
Look over the full schedule and plan your days. (Check out the 2021 A&E Conference program here. You'll also receive a printed copy in your welcome bag.) Be sure to have backup options in case your first session choice is full.

If you indicated special dietary needs for the Keynote Luncheon when you RSVP'd, please visit the WLT Staff at check-in and let us know. We'll give you a special dietary ticket that you'll give to the waiter when receiving your meal.

Send us any questions you would love to hear our Opening Session speaker Sean Desmond answer by filling out this form HERE.

Bring layers. A light sweater, blazer, or hoodie can come in handy if you find the indoor AC too chilly. (Texas in September: hot outside, cold inside!)
Check-in: If you have booked a room at the conference venue, the Hyatt Regency (208 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704) through our group block, please remember that the official check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. Wifi in your guest room is included, and you will also receive a discounted parking rate that should be reflected on your bill. You must remind the hotel of this at check-in.

Parking: If you are not staying at the Hyatt Regency and will be parking your car each day in the hotel's parking garage, you will need to pick up a parking sticker that gives you a special $10-day rate. Stickers will be available at the WLT Check-in and Information Desk all three days of the conference. You will need a parking sticker for each day that you park in the garage.

How to use the sticker: When you park in the garage, you will receive a ticket. Pick up your parking sticker from the WLT table and then stick it to the back of your original ticket. When you're ready to leave the hotel, you'll need to scan the front of the ticket first and then the back with the sticker.
Everyone who opted in for a consultation(s) (in-person and virtual) should have received their consultation appointment schedule from becka@writersleague.org yesterday (9/14) or will receive it by 8:00 p.m. CDT today (9/15). If you have not received your consultation schedule by 8:00 p.m. CDT today, please search your spam folder then reach out to us as soon as possible. Email wltconference@writersleague.org with any questions or concerns.

Reminder: Double-check your consultation times. Pay special attention to whether the consultation is on Saturday or Sunday. Plan to arrive at your consultation on time (and no more than 15 minutes early). If you have a consultation scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, you'll want to leave the opening General Session a little early, so plan accordingly by sitting close to the door and keeping track of time.
The conference kicked off unofficially Monday and Tuesday night with some really terrific genre sessions. These sessions featured a published author and their book editor in conversation with a WLT staffer. You can access the recordings below!

If you missed the orientation session, you can watch it here. And don't forget that the pre-conference sessions aren't over yet! Join us for our Practice Makes Pitch Perfect presentation and the popular Pitch Lab this Thursday, September 16. See you there!
What's the best way to support writers? Buy their books! To help you do just that, we've partnered with BookPeople, one of our favorite independent bookstores in Austin, Texas. They'll be the official bookseller for the conference meaning they'll have a table at the in-person conference and they've also created an online store with every panelist and presenter's books and even some of our favorite craft books. Check it out! You can start buying books now.
We are asking all in-person conference registrants to please familiarize themselves with our COVID and Anti-Harassment guidelines for the 2021 Agents & Editors Conference. These guidelines are mandatory and will be enforced throughout the conference. You can find everything you need to know by clicking the button below.

We can't stress this enough: The health and safety of all of our attendees (including registrants, invited guests, staff, and volunteers) will be our highest priority during the conference weekend. Our expectation is that anyone who attends in-person is aware of and prepared to follow these guidelines. If you are not able or willing to follow the guidelines, please contact us immediately so that we can transfer your registration to the Virtual All Access option.

Any questions? Now's the time to ask! Give us a call at 512-499-8914, or email us at wltconference@writersleague.org.
It's here! We couldn't be more excited to share with you an early look at the conference program, including the full schedule of events, bios and photos of our visiting agents, editors, and presenters, information on preparing for consultations, the full list of our panelists, presenters, keynoters, moderators, exhibitors, and more. (All in-person registrants will receive a printed program in their welcome bag.)
