GSC Faculty News

Welcome Spring!

With the arrival of Spring, especially this year, it is a time of new beginnings! While the pandemic has been the focus of our lives for the past two years, it appears that we have made it through. I want to thank our faculty for continuing to provide the highest quality education to our students despite the many challenges along the way.

We are now setting our collective sights on Commencement – a time to recognize and reflect on the student achievements we have contributed to.  We also look forward to our annual Honors Convocation in early May. This event recognizes our Alpha Sigma Lambda candidates; student members are selected from the highest ten percent of the students who have twenty-four graded credits and are matriculated in an undergraduate degree program. A true indicator of the quality education you all provide – for the last two years, every one of these students had a GPA of 4.0! We will also recognize two colleagues chosen to receive the Distinguished Faculty Award for 2022.

Please be sure to register for commencement on May 22 at 4:00 pm at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, NH.

Faculty Spotlight:

Ronald Danault, Technology and Science Programs

Danault_Ronald.jpg

Ron Danault’s passion for education began as an undergraduate student at Granite State College. While earning his bachelor’s degree here, he found the faculty so inspiring that he decided to become an educator himself. He went on to earn his M.Ed. in Computer Science and later served as an adjunct faculty at Granite State and other New Hampshire colleges. Now that passion has come full circle in his new leadership role as our Director of Undergraduate Technology and Science Programs.
