DC CFAR Investigator Dr. Carlos Rodríguez-Díaz (GW), Senior Research Scientist Ms. Wendy Davis (GW), CPC Chair and Community Coordinator Ms. Marcia Ellis (DC CFAR), CPC Member Ms. Martha Cameron Sichone (ICW-NA), SBS Core Director Dr. Lisa Bowleg (GW), DC CFAR Director Dr. Alan Greenberg (GW), SBS Core Sr. Scientist Dr. Deanna Kerrigan (GW) and colleagues published an article in AIDS and Behavior October 2021 entitled "Disrupting the Systems: Opportunities to Enhance Methodological Approaches to Address Socio-Structural Determinants of HIV and End the Epidemic Through Effective Community Engagement". The authors describe the need to engage communities in all stages of research on the socio-structural determinants of HIV and highlight the importance of collaborations between scientists and communities. This publication is part of a special issue of the journal entitled "Innovations in Methods and Measurement Science on the Social Determinants of HIV" edited by Dr. Kerrigan, Dr. Rodríguez-Díaz and Ms. Davis.
