Care List
This Sunday at Our Circle of Candles:
Nancy F. and Becky E. lit a candle of joy: To have Shonda and Demi with us today!
John and Anita lit a candle of sorrow: One of Anita’s Etowah County cousins became a COVID-19 widow this past week. The cousin was herself sick with COVID-19 at home, and one of their adult sons was briefly hospitalized but is also recovering. It is hard to see this happen to such decent and intelligent people.
Kathy Fisher lit a candle of fun: I was chosen as Valley Conservatory’s teacher of the month, and then Tilly was selected as the pet of the month!
Paul De Moor lit a candle of joy: Paul's second eye cataract surgery seems to have gone well. We have enjoyed our week off while all of that was in process.
Jack Long lit a candle of gratitude: Thank you Pam and Brad for the visit.
Sarah Miklavic-Kinley lit a candle of sorrow: Sending love, light, and peace to my sister-in-law who lost her brother last night. He was in hospice a while and his battle is over.
Heather Kyemba lit a candle of gratitude: Thank you, Shonda, for the story. A good reminder to be willing to listen to other’s wisdom.
Jessica Schulz (she/her) lit a candle of joy: Happy to report that my cataract surgery was successful.
Nick Wilbourn lit a candle of joy: My father, who is vaccinated, recovered well from his breakthrough COVID-19 case, despite being very sick for several days. And joy to have new staff members, Shonda and Demi, sharing their talents with us this morning!
Kathy Fisher lit a candle of joy: Welcome to Demi and Shonda!
Sarah Miklavic-Kinley lit a candle of joy: For the wonderful weather yesterday and getting to spend it outside with family.
Bryan Walls lit a candle of sorrow: Larry Enlow, a friend and fine musician, passed away yesterday from COVID-19.
Demi VanderWerff lit a candle of joy: I’d like to offer up joy for being here and getting to meet all of you. And, healing for me—as my bout of sickness will not allow me to join you all for water communion today. Also healing for my best friend Marianthi who is a cancer survivor and having some concerning small relapses at this time.
Gail Williams lit a candle of concern: For my friend Martha who has a terrible breakthrough case of COVID-19.
Jack Long lit a candle of concern: I worry about my brother and sister-in-law. They are anti-vaxers...
Rita Scholes lit a candle of sorrow: Miss my mom.
Jessica Schulz (she/her) lit a candle of joy: I love Jason Robert Brown, but I've never heard this song. Beautiful song and beautifully sung. Thanks, Demi.
