Over 100 prospective students attend Lake Superior College's Healthcare Open House
Lake Superior College welcomed 104 prospective students to our beautiful main campus throughout Thursday afternoon for the Healthcare Open House. Small and socially-distanced tours, led by our admissions team and campus ambassadors, walked throughout campus and learned more about our healthcare programs. Several additional tours have also scheduled in the coming weeks. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success! Check out the coverage on WDIO and Fox21.
LSC Foundation scholarship accepting applications through March 15
The Lake Superior College Foundation will once again award over $100,000 in scholarships this spring, for students attending LSC in Fall Semester 2021. The entire application is online and only requires applicants to set up an account in the AwardSpring system. Foundation scholarships are available to both current (returning) and incoming (new) students in good standing, and will be awarded to students enrolled at LSC in Fall Semester 2021. Applications are now open, at lsc.edu/foundation, and will remain open until March 15. Please encourage anyone with questions to contact the LSC Foundation at (218) 733-7707 or foundation@lsc.edu.
Progress on Hawks Landing
Progress is being made on Hawks Landing, the new event center and student lounge area on main campus now under construction. The wall along the main corridor has been removed and will be replaced by glass to allow for even more natural light. Hawks Landing is scheduled to be open by the end of spring semester.
LSC ranked among the Top 10 Best RN Programs in MN, #1 in Northeast MN
RegisteredNursing.org reviewed all 44 nursing schools in the state, including 4 and 2 year programs, looking at quality of program, accreditation, graduation rates, NCLEX-RN pass rates, job placement rates, affordability, support services and other factors.

Duluth & St. Louis County Days at the Capitol
Lake Superior College is featured in the Duluth Chamber's 2021 Duluth & St. Louis County at the Capitol Days Legislative Priorities Booklet, which will be held virtually this year. LSC's top legislative priority continues to be to relocate the downtown campus back to main campus to expand, enhance and better connect students and instructors in the in-demand program. Thank you for all you're doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It's working! We know we're not out of the woods yet, but we're moving in the right direction and everything that you're doing is working so please continue to mask up, wash your hands, keep your distance, get tested, stay home when you're sick, and continue to do everything possible to keep yourself and others safe.

  • Do you know parents/guardians of MN high school or home school students? Encourage them to learn about PSEO at Lake Superior College! PSEO informational sessions will be offered via Zoom on February 18 and 23. Find the schedule and Zoom link at lsc.edu/AboutPSEO.

  • Lake Superior College will offer a Surgical Technology informational Zoom session on Thursday, February 18, 4:00-5:00 p.m., for students interested in applying to LSC's Surgical Technology program. Participants will meet the program director and instructors and find out more about the career, program, how to apply and more. Applications for the surgical technology program are currently being accepted.
