AFTER DUTCH DPA, THIS NETHERLANDS-BASED NON-PROFIT HITS TIKTOK WITH €6B CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT; HERE'S WHY

GDPR ENFORCEMENT ROUNDUP: AUSTRIAN POST FACING NEW RECORD FINE

In September, Austria’s national postal service, Austrian Post, was hit with a record €9.5 million (U.S. $11 million) fine for not enabling people to inquire about any personal data it might have on them via email, even though individuals could make queries via letter, online, and through customer service. SWISS FEDERAL DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY RECOGNIZES THE NEW EU STANDARD CONTRACTUAL CLAUSES AS A LAWFUL MECHANISM TO TRANSFER PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE OF SWITZERLAND
