HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Our National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations continue through October 15. We invite all JPS families to participate in special activities each week to honor the enduring contributions of the generations of Hispanic Americans who have enriched our nation and society.
UPCOMING EVENTS
EARLY CHILDHOOD PARENT ACADEMY
Do you want to ensure your 3-5 year old has a strong start in school? Join us for our Early Childhood Parent Academy beginning Monday, October 18. Sessions will be held from 6-7 p.m. The Academy will consist of six free interactive training sessions delivered online and free materials to practice with at home.

You will:

  • Understand Kindergarten Readiness
  • Identify Childhood Development Milestones
  • Practice Readiness Skills
  • Connect with Teachers and Other Families

62 individuals representing our students, parents, teachers, and administrators will serve on the District's advisory committees to provide feedback on key issues to help us make informed decisions on behalf of our schools and communities.

JPS Recognizes Top Summer Readers

JPS top readers De'Niylah Parker, Alaina Hatcher, De'Nahjae Trimble, and Asia Ramsey read a combined total of more than 300 books last summer. Schools with the most books read were Obama and Casey Elementaries, Northwest Middle, and Jim Hill High.
