Good Morning Valued Chamber Member,
In lieu of my traditional weekly CEO message filled with important news and information about the latest events and upcoming policy issues facing your business, I thought it appropriate to share and recognize the meaning of our upcoming holiday weekend.
Nearly four hundred years ago, one hundred courageous men and women boarded a ship called the Mayflower in the common quest to discover freedom and liberty.
Landing in what we now know as Plymouth Massachusetts, the Pilgrims came together to celebrate comradery in a tradition that we have carried on called Thanksgiving.
The liberties founded by those original settlers created the Free Enterprise System we all enjoy today. With Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday - Commerce will be bustling this weekend! Let’s support our Member-businesses, large and small, to keep our local economy moving.
While you are celebrating, please remember that our first responders, healthcare workers and active military will be working - separated from their families - helping to keep us safe.
On behalf of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, the Chamber Team and myself, I thank you for your Membership and support of our organization and hope you find joy and peace on this special holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving!
With a Grateful Heart for the Greatest Nation,
