BLANK BANNER
November 22, 2021
The Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club is co-sponsoring the 8th Annual Holiday Celebration on Tuesday, November 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friendly’s in the Foxmoor Plaza will host the event, featuring a Christmas Tree & Menorah lighting, a visit by Santa Claus and holiday music. There will be free cocoa and an opportunity to create your own holiday ornament.
In addition to fun for the whole family, those attending the event can help local non-profit charities. New, unwrapped toys can be donated to Womanspace, while used bicycles will be collected for the BGC Bike Exchange to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County.
Welcome to Patrolmen Rene Godfrey (second from left) and Eduardo Madrigal (second from right).
Retiring Chief Chris Nitti (left) stated there was a highly competitive pool of 105 applicants for the two positions. Incoming Chief, Lt. Mike Polaski (right), will take over the department on January 1, 2022.
The annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program continues to collect toys at the fire station located at 1149 Route 130.
A second drop of point also is available at Kuo Social in Robbinsville.
All toys must be new, unwrapped and in original packaging. Collection will continue until December 10 for children/families in need during the holiday season. For those dropping off at the fire station, collection boxes are located in the foyer accessible via the main entrance and can be made at any time.
Be Kind started its Anti-Hunger Food Relief mission to supplement its ongoing End Hunger 3.6 meal packing programs. Be Kind was able to acquire, transport and donate several pallets of vegetables, fruits, cereals, tortillas, milk, juice, energy drinks, ice tea, water, soda and other items to our community service partners at NJ Rise Food Pantry, The Salvation Army, Trenton Citadel Corps, the American Red Cross' "Service to the Armed Forces" (SAF) program at Joint Base-MDL and others. Over the past three months, Be Kind and co-founder Bill Coleman have rescued and donated in excess of $250,000 of perfectly good food and other items that would have been thrown away. Be Kind is grateful to its corporate sponsors, along with all the residents, for supporting its non-profit mission work.
