August Lunch Portal Open
 
Order Portal for August Lunch Orders is now open. Orders are due by Monday, August 2 (Midnight)

Sign-in to Parents Web > Student > Lunch. Once you click the “CREATE WEB ORDER” button you must proceed to payment to avoid duplicate or unprocessed order items. 
Spirit Wear Hoodies Portal Open

The Spirit Wear Portal is open (through Friday, September 3) with some new offerings. Only spirit hoodies and outerwear are approved for uniform wear. DCS hooded sweatshirts can be ordered on Dominion’s website through the link at the bottom of the homepage.
Back to School Night & Orientation
Thursday, August 5, 5:00 PM

Welcome back! We are excited to welcome new and returning families to Dominion. On Thursday, August 5, we will have our Back-to-School night.

5:00 -- Welcome & Introduction of our new Head of School, Ed Morris
5:30 -- Schedules, locker assignments, and meet your teachers

Note: Lockers no longer have combinations. Students will be allowed to bring their own combination lock for their assigned locker.

First Day of School, Half-day
Friday, August 6

Uniforms are not required Friday -- it is a non-uniform day for all students. Please adhere to DCS dress policy for "jeans days." School is dismissed at 11:55.


Students will have 20 minute classes.

  • 7:45 - 8:00 Student check-in (school lobby)
  • 8:00 - 8:20 Welcome, devotions, prayer, first day procedures (gym)
  • 8:20 - 11:55 Periods 1-8, meet your teachers, receive syllabus and information
  • 11:55 School dismissed
Monday, August 9 – First full day (regular classes)
 
Monday is a full day of school. Khaki or navy pants and DCS uniform polo. If your uniform order has not come in, please adhere to the uniform standard as closely as possible.

Uniforms are ordered through our DCS Lands End Portal.
Middle School Carline

Middle school drop-off and pick-up is located at the MS entrance. Middle school drop-off begins at 7:30 AM. Pick-up begins at 3:05. If students are dropped off or picked up between the hours of 8:00-3:00, please check in at the main office.

ParentsWeb is RenWeb’s school information portal. Within the portal, parents and students have access to a variety of information:

  • Attendance – shows absences and tardies to classes (by quarter or entire year)
  • Classrooms – grades, assignments, lessons, and teacher’s web page
  • Discipline – lists any discipline records of demerits, detentions, or referrals (by quarter or entire year)
  • Community Service – record of completed service hours (10 hrs required per year at Dominion)
  • Family Demographics – contains your family demographics
  • Family Directory – school directory (only available to DCS families and employees)
  • Report Card – a printable copy of current year’s report card to date
  • Student Schedules – current students schedule of classes and room assignment and much, much more.
Schedules & Change Requests

Student schedules are available through ParentsWeb. Please log into your ParentsWeb account and click on Student Information > Schedules. If your schedule is not available, please be patient as schedules are populated individually ensuring you have the classes you need/want.

Change requests can be made through the first week of school. Drop/add deadline is Friday, August 13 (for DE or AP classes, deadline is Friday, August 20).

After School Program, Monday, August 9

Dominion has established an after school program to help parents who need a safe environment for their students after normal school hours. ASP runs from 3:30 – 5:30 each regular full day of school (not half days or scheduled early dismissals).

For security purposes, we are compelled to ensure your students are in a safe and supervised environment. Therefore our after-school program is mandatory for all students (grades 6-12) remaining on campus after 3:30. If students are not picked up by 3:30, they will be held in room 1109 (located in the main lobby) until parents arrive and sign them out.

Cost of the program: $10 per day (not to exceed $150 month). ASP will be billed on the following month’s tuition note.

Note: ASP is not needed for students in athletic practices during their season. Nor is it necessary for scheduled help class with a teacher until 4:00.

Summer Reading

Dominion requires all students to read the assigned summer books for their English courses prior to the first day of classes.

MBS Direct (Dominion's book portal) is open for textbook ordering.

Summer Office Hours

Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 - 2:00. 
 
Certificates of Attendance
 
If you will need a certificate of attendance for a driver’s license, please email Mrs. Stansel (lstansel@dominionmail.org). Remember, certificates of attendance are only valid for 30 days. You can pick up your certificate of attendance during summer office hours.
