CCD News
Sunday, March 7 marks the end of our CCD program for this year. This year, we moved to a homeschool model since we did not think it best to meet in person. Thank you to all of our catechists for devoting their time to once a month check-ins and families for taking over religious instruction for this year. Your perseverance in guiding your children in learning more about their faith and growing closer to Jesus is appreciated.

Family Rosary
GA is blessed to have Eucharistic Adoration almost every Thursday from 3pm to 9pm. We begin those hours with the Family Rosary at 3:00pm. We say 5 decades of the rosary and rotate which mysteries we pray based on the day of the week or the liturgical season. It takes about 20 minutes.
We will be praying each week for our Guardian Angels school and parish community. ALL ages welcome.

RCIA News
Over the next 3 Sundays of Lent, we will be celebrating the scrutinies with our elect. These rites are meant for self-searching and repentance. They uncover, then heal all that is weak, defective or sinful in the hearts of the elect. They also bring out, then strengthen all that is upright, strong and good. The scrutinies are celebrated in order to deliver the elect from the power of sin and Satan, to protect them against temptation and to give them strength in Christ. They complete the conversion of the elect and deepen their resolve to hold fast to Christ and to carry out their decision to love God above all. Please keep all of our elect and candidates in your prayers as they make their final preparations to receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

40 Days for Life
Calling ALL members of Guardian Angels Parish: we are looking for parishioners to volunteer to stand in prayer for 40 Days for Life. The next day Guardian Angels has committed to cover is March 24th from 7:00am to 7:00pm at the abortion clinic in Mt. Auburn. Volunteers are asked to commit to one hour of time. Please consider joining our parish on this day as we quietly stand in prayer for life! It does require standing for an hour outdoors. If this is something you have never done, maybe March 24th will be a first for you! We cannot have too many people. To sign up, see the bulletin boards in the gathering space or email Luann Rowekamp with the hour you prefer.

AngelsFest Announcement For 2021 Event
Due to the current health climate and guidelines, and the unknowns of when large events will be able to be hosted safely again, we have made the difficult decision of not holding a 3-day event for AngelsFest this summer. As we did in 2020, our festival committee will still run a Bid-N-Buy silent auction and a Major Awards raffle in June. Look for more information on both of these efforts in the coming months.

Save the Date: Camp GAudeo, June 21-25
Last summer, we were blessed to be able to have our annual “Camp GAudeo” despite the pandemic. Using guidance from the state and archdiocese, we enjoyed a fun and safe environment for all. All families with students currently in grades 5-8 are encouraged to consider this summer’s camp, held June 21-25 at the parish. Registration is currently open, and spots will fill quickly. Register here. This year, we will engage in a variety of incredible activities, games, skills-building, large events (like Giant Slip-N-Slide), and even a trip to Coney Island. For questions regarding more information – specifically COVID procedures – you can refer to our brochure or contact Bradley Barnes.
Students in grades 9-12 are also invited to visit the registration page and fill out a high school counselor application. Counselors can earn up to 55 service hour credits and have a great time doing so!

Enrollment Is Open Now for K-8 Students
Enrollment is now open for new students to Guardian Angels School for the 21-22 school year. Families looking to enroll students in kindergarten through eighth grade can find more information on our website. For a direct link to the online enrollment form, click here. Only new students for the 21-22 school year need to enroll through this link. Current families will re-enroll their students via a link sent directly from the school.
Our preschool and pre-k classes are at capacity for 21-22 but we do have a waiting list for those programs. Spots on the waitlist are determined on a first come first serve basis since the early enrollment period for parishioners and current school families has now closed.

Come Learn More About Our School
Due to the current health crisis, we are unable to host our typical Open House event. We do encourage families to come take a private tour of our school. We’ve also created a virtual Open House where you’ll find more information about Guardian Angels School and our wonderful community.
To visit our virtual Open House, click here. This information is compiled with answers to some of the most asked questions by prospective families. You can also see photos from inside our classrooms.
If you are interested in taking a personal tour of our school, click here. Tours are a great way to see classes in session, meet our administrators, and ask specific questions you have for your child(ren). If you are not interested in a tour at this time, but have specific questions you would like answers, you are also more than welcome to call our school office at 513-624-3141 or email our principal, Corey Stoops, or our assistant principal, Stephanie Woodall.
You can also find more information about our school on our website.

|
Due to Covid-19 and the additional measures we are taking to protect our students and staff, all school Masses are held privately and for students and staff only this school year. Students are socially distanced in church and required to wear a mask throughout the Mass. Thank you for keeping our children in prayer!
