Self-Care While Working Remotely During a Pandemic

This staff training reviews the definitions of burnout and compassion fatigue learned in Self-Care for Helping Professionals. It goes more in depth into the paths to burnout and compassion satisfaction by exploring the job-demands-resources model and explains the unique challenges faced during a pandemic. Staff will learn to apply Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to their own lives. They will also explore eco-mapping in order to find whether or not their resources balance their energy output. Finally, they will learn new methods of self-care that are unique to working remotely.
