Officials with No Hunger Holiday are busy planning for the 2020 event, which marks the 30th Anniversary of the Thanksgiving based drive. With continued expansion into Lincoln, Warren and Montgomery Counties along with growth in St. Charles County No Hunger Holiday is expected to provide full Thanksgiving Day meals to more than 3,000 families. We are grateful to the agency partners, donors, vendors, volunteers and the army of individuals that help make No Hunger Holiday possible every year. Every year No Holiday overtakes the Pezold Banquet and Meeting Center In Cottleville on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and turns the facility into a distribution center where more than 2,000 boxes are filled with everything that makes up a complete Thanksgiving meal for those in need.
Volunteer spots are filling fast. If you are interested in taking part, please visit www.nohungerholiday.com for more information.

The 11th Annual Bi-City Holiday Food Drive is currently underway and will be ending on January 8th, 2021. This is the eleventh year Weldon Spring and Cottleville have participated in a friendly competition. Cottleville took the win in 2020 and currently holds the trophy! We are looking for non-perishable food items and toiletries such as; cereal, dry pasta, sauce, canned goods, baby diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning items, etc. Items can be dropped off at City Hall. All of the items collected by Cottleville will go to Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service, which is the largest social services provider for individuals, families, and children in the Tri-County area of St. Charles, Lincoln & Warren counties.
In addition, we are also collecting items for our four-legged friends. These donations will go to Five Acres Animal Shelter. This is the only "No-Kill" shelter in St. Charles County and relies on private donations in order to operate. They can use; dog treats, dog toys, kitty litter, bleach, paper towels, unshredded newspapers and trash bags. New and gently used towels, blankets, sheets, beds, collars, and leashes are needed too.
DROP OFF LOCATION:
Cottleville City Hall Lobby
5490 Fifth Street (off Highway N)
Monday -- Friday; 9am - 5pm
November 1 through January 11
We would like to share and spread the wealth. Please take time to consider those less fortunate and donate what you can this fast approaching holiday season. Thank you for spreading cheer!
