SYC seeks committed volunteers willing to contribute their time, energy, and expertise to develop policy and promote SYC's mission. This is an exceptional opportunity to foster the growth and development of a local nonprofit organization devoted to youth sports and the community at large. SYC Track is offering a long jump clinic on June 26 and a speed clinic on July 3rd. The Long Jump Clinic will teach athletes the basics of long jump or improving the skills of already talented jumpers. The Track and Field Speed Clinic is designed to help provide athletes with the skills necessary to improve their speed, acceleration, and overall explosivity. No experience is necessary!

Meet the New Lacrosse Commissioner

Mr. Brian Callender, our current SYC Lacrosse Program Commissioner, is stepping down from his role in the Lacrosse Program. Brian has grown and developed the SYC Lacrosse program for over 10 years, both leading and coaching. Thank you very much Brian for all of your efforts in keeping the lacrosse program running so well for so long!

Brian has recommended Mr. Marcus Evans to be the next SYC Lacrosse Commissioner. Mr. Evans has two children who are involved in lots of activities. His son plays in the SYC Lacrosse boy's program and his daughter will soon follow! He has served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Lacrosse program and has been an assistant coach within the boys program.

Meet the New UP Commissioner

Ms. Carrie Moon is moving out of the area and leaving SYC this June. We are sad to see her go and thank her for the wonderful work she did with the Cheer program, being on the SYC BOD, and especially, setting up the SYC UP Program and being its first Commissioner!

In preparation for her departure, Carrie has nominated Ms. Monika Moore as the new SYC UP Commissioner effective when Carrie departs. Monika who currently serves on the SYC BOD will be working with Carrie up until Carrie departs to bring herself up-to-speed on the program.

The Touchdown Club Boosters are proud to announce our second annual youth football camp! This camp is open to all current 3rd through 8th graders. It will be non-contact, focusing on skills and drills along with tournament play. Camp will be staffed by the WSHS Coaching Staff as well as current Varsity players! All campers will receive a t-shirt and water bottle. Prizes and awards will be given!
