Godly Play

There is NO Godly Play tomorrow (May 8) due to illness.

If you are interested in being a part of Godly Play and ministry with the Kids of the Advocate in any way, please fill out this short survey so that we can best prepare for the upcoming year.

Also, so that we can get a good headcount of all the Kids of the Advocate, please add your information to this spreadsheet.

Bring a sandwich (or two)

Stick around following the 10:30 am service to continue the Eucharistic feast by joining in fellowship with your fellow Advocates by sharing a meal together. AND, let's do this every week! See ya there!

Be known to us Lord Jesus, in the breaking of the bread.

Celebration of New Ministry

On May 25 at 5:30 pm (by the pond, if the weather holds) there will be a service of a "Celebration of New Ministry." This service is typically held some months following the calling of a new vicar or rector to a church and it is a celebration of the ministry that has been, the ministry that is, and the ministry that is to come here at the Advocate. The service will be presided over by Bishop Sam Rodman, with guest preacher, the Rev. Kellan Day,  and will be followed by a potluck dinner.

Mark your calendars, bring a dish, and join in the celebration!

Advocacy and Ministry

Financial Survey

On Friday (April 29th) the Vestry sent a letter with an update on our financial position at the end of the first quarter of 2022. You can find that letter here

You can help by taking this brief survey to let us know more about your ability to fulfill your 2022 pledge.

Support in Ukraine

In addition to prayer for those who have been impacted by the war in Ukraine, you can donate to the Episcopal Relief and Development effort which supports and helps those who have been displaced by this crisis. You can find more information here on the Episcopal Church's ongoing work at home and abroad.

Prayer

Compline each evening at 8:30pm via zoom.

What is compline? Compline is the last set prayer service for the day. It is typically prayed before bed or when settling down for the evening. You can check out the liturgy here.

Contemplative prayer meets each Wednesday at 6pm with a group in person in the chapel (wearing masks and distanced) and on zoom. (Contact Marion to get the zoom link)

Collect

Fourth Sunday of Easter

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
