Senior Spotlight: Patrick Breslin
An Article by Staff Member Jeff Adams
Pat Breslin can be described as an understanding, ambitious, reserved, quiet and energetic young man. Patrick will sit quietly in the classroom, while working hard to succeed on every assignment. Vocational Studies teacher Jack Kelly says that “Patrick Breslin impresses me with his quiet competence. He likes to do things correctly and is willing to put in the effort to do so”.  I have been Patrick’s golf coach for the past four years and I have seen Pat as a player who is persistent and goal oriented to help the team do its best each year.

Patrick Breslin played for the Sanborn Golf team all four years at Sanborn Regional High School and I have seen him grow into a trustworthy, polite and persevering young man who loves to play golf.  On the golf course you need to follow golf etiquette, which Patrick would do each day he played for the team. Patrick would not be afraid to use his dry sense of humor to get other players to loosen up and laugh.  Mr. Kelly wrote that “Patrick has a dry sense of humor, but is very witty”. Patrick has worked very hard in his four years on the golf team to improve his game. Freshman year Patrick did not play in any matches, but through his perseverance I now consider Pat as the leader of the team his senior year. Through the years Patrick could always be heard on the golf course that he hated the game of golf, but I knew that was untrue. When Patrick was having a bad day on the course he would always say that he hates the game of golf.  But I know that was untrue, Patrick was using his dry sense of humor to get through the tough times on the course.
Patrick would like to attend college with a major in Criminal Justice, which will allow Pat to follow his dream of getting a job in law enforcement. Patrick would like to become a police officer or state trooper. On the golf course Patrick used his perseverance to improve his game and Patrick will continue to use that perseverance, energy, and ambitious personality to achieve his goal. Always remember Patrick that you love golf and if you pull me over for speeding to let me off with a warning.

PTO Clothing & Shoe Donation Bins
When you drop your unwanted clothing and shoes off in these bins, the SRHS PTO gets paid based on the weight of the clothing! This is a really easy way to help our school. All PTO proceeds go directly back to programming and scholarships that directly benefit our students. NOTE: Shoes must go in a separate bin.

Did you know? From April of 2015 - May 2017, this fundraiser has helped us raise nearly $2400.00 for the PTO. Help us double that number by sharing this opportunity with your friends, your family, and your neighbors!
