LIVING PROGRESSIVE VALUES
IN A POLARIZED ELECTION SEASON
Join us the 4 Tuesdays in October as Rev. John leads us in a special fall 2020 seminar series sponsored by our TUCW UU the Vote team. The series will invite people to reflect on our liberal faith's principles and how we live them out with grace, love and conviction at such a fractious time in our democracy. Where does Tolerance fit in? Justice? How do the 7 UU Principles guide our daily behaviors and words right now?
Join us, and spread the word to friends and neighbors of all political persuasions. This will be open to all who are interested in provocative, probing conversation.
October 6, 13, 20 and 27, 6:00-7:00 PM. ZOOM room HERE Meeting ID: xxxxxxxxxx. Passcode: xxxxxxx

In June, Jim Luongo had the idea to direct the ZUUm TrUUpe (aka UU Players) in a radio play via ZOOM. The result is Sorry, Wrong Number, a 1943 thriller written by Lucille Fletcher.
With sound design by Meg Jones and performances from Sarah Bell, Joanne Coviello, Lindy Hennessy, Candace Clinger, Janet Luongo, Bob Perry, Gian Morresi and Tom Croarkin, Sorry Wrong Number provides a welcome distraction in a retro format.
This radio program is available now for your listening pleasure HERE.

IS MYSTICISM WHERE SCIENCE AND RELIGION MEET?
Starting October 7, 2020—Wednesdays, 7:00−9:00 PM
Instructors: Dr. Bart Stuck, Applied Mathematician
Rev. Marjorie Partch, Jungian Astrologer
Group discussions follow readings and lectures on ancient concepts and cutting-edge theories, exploring:
• Religion is an increasingly irrelevant part of daily life, with growing numbers citing their religious affiliation as NONE.
• Spirituality is becoming equally insignificant, with materialism ascendant, and more people questioning the meaning of life.
• At the same time, Western science, after five hundred years, finds it has been studying five percent of the Universe.
Illustrative sources include The Tao of Physics and the 26-year correspondence between psychoanalyst C.G. Jung and physicist Wolfgang Pauli: Atom and Archetype.
