Additional health and safety challenges and a significant increase in injury rates occur during the winter season. Our Winter Ready for Leaders webinar provides insights into the types of injuries we can experience, along with strategies and tools to prepare and reduce incidents during the winter season.

Audit Dispatch
2021 COR Auditing Announcements
 
The Partnerships program has just announced minimum standards for COR Certification and the auditing options that will be available for 2021.

AMHSA will be distributing the information to its COR-holders and auditors in the next week. This communication will address your questions about validation methods that will be required, remote vs. on-site auditing, and Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) refunds.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate this time of uncertainty and change. The AMHSA COR Team is working hard to support our auditors and employers in the PIR Program, and we will be happy to assist you in the coming year.

2020 Audit Submission Deadline

COR Certification (external) and COR Maintenance (internal) audits are due to be submitted to AMHSA by December 1. If you require an extension to the submission date, email shannon@amhsa.net with your data gathering dates and request for extension prior to December 1st. Audits can be submitted to Shannon or audits@amhsa.net.

Remember to include the organizational chart!

Upcoming Alberta Cities Safety Council Meeting
Don't forget that we are hosting our December 1 Alberta Cities Safety Council Meeting via Teams.

Please contact communications@amhsa.net if you have not received an invitation to this meeting.

All municipality representatives are encouraged to attend our safety council meetings according to the area of Alberta they represent. Our Northern Alberta Safety Council includes towns, MDs, villages and counties north of Red Deer while our Southern Safety Council includes towns, MDs, villages and counties in Red Deer and south of Red Deer. Our Alberta Cities Safety Council includes all cities in Alberta.

To keep you and our AMHSA staff safe during the quarantine, our meetings for now will be offered virtually until further notice.
