Learn About Redistricting
The Los Angeles City Charter requires that the City be redistricted at least once every 10 years. It calls for the creation of a twenty-one member Redistricting Commission, which has the authority to make recommendations on a redistricting plan to the City Council that sets boundaries for City Council districts.

Covid-19 County Update
LA County’s COVID-19 cases have increased by 20 times compared to last month when we had just 124 cases on June 21. Let’s help slow the spread. Get vaccinated & mask up indoors.
The vaccine is the best tool you can use to protect yourself and your loved ones.

And with more than 800 vaccination sites across L.A. County — it’s never been easier to get vaccinated. You can get vaccinated from your car, or walk up to any clinic without an appointment or insurance. You can even get vaccinated during your daily commute because L.A. Metro is offering the vaccine at transit stations across the County.

Summer 2021 at the Park
Street Transit Amenities Program (STAP)
With the City’s existing street furniture contract expiring at the end of 2021, StreetsLA is developing a successor program and envisions a world-class, self-sustaining program that provides shelter, shade, safety, and comfort with furniture that supports an increased use of transit and alternative transportation, local economic activity and the shared use of City sidewalks.

The Sidewalk and Transit Amenities Program (STAP) will replace and expand upon the existing program and is expected to follow the traditional business model in which furniture costs are supported by advertising. StreetsLA has released a Request for Proposals (RFP)--a competitive process to identify a business partner to operate the program.

They are hosting public demonstrations from the top two potential contractors from July 19 to July 30. Join them at one of these demonstrations and give them your feedback on what features you would like to see! They will be using this feedback to negotiate with the winning contractor on the features you would like to incorporate into the next generation of bus shelters so that the City of Los Angeles has shelters that are customized and designed to the needs of Angelinos.
