The Connection

St. Crispin's Conference Center and Camp

Newsletter January 2023

Greetings from the Directors

If you haven't heard, Oakerhater Lodge experienced a frozen pipe on Christmas Eve that flooded the entire building. We were fortunate in that we secured a restoration company in to start the water mitigation the same day. Construction will begin this week to repair the damage. Thankfully, no furnishings or bedding was damaged.

We are so grateful for the scheduled groups, who have been so gracious in rescheduling and working around the lack of these rooms for their conferences and retreats.

So many have asked, "what can we do to help?" Here are some ways you can help:

  1. Pray that the construction would stay on schedule, and we will be back to full capacity soon.
  2. Please pass on the opportunity to your church and other groups you may know of that can book retreats in the cabins through the Spring. See the article below and help spread the word.
  3. Since we are rescheduling a number of groups for later this spring, summer and fall, please book your annual conferences and retreats soon.

Serving and Rejoicing in Jesus,

Alton and Joy Belew

Pray - Share - Give

We are grateful for all who pray for St. Crispin's and share their lives as they come here. Many have given donations for rockers, lifeguard chairs, waterfront storage, kitchen equipment (be watching for our new waffle station!) and other gifts!

As you pray about your giving for 2023, would you consider giving a monthly gift to St. Crispin's? We can help set up an ACH to give the gift that keeps on giving!
