As a community, we must do everything possible to prevent the spread of COVID. Please be mindful of this as you plan activities for your family and children. Please wear masks, avoid gatherings of multiple families and sleepovers, emphasize the need to wash hands frequently, and talk with your children about ways to stay safe in any situation. We must all work together to keep our community safe!

The designation of purple does not mandate a closing to schools at this time; however, Guardian Angels will follow recommendations from the Governor’s office and Health Department. Presently, schools within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati have decision making authority to determine the mode of operation for the school: in-person, whole school remote, quarantine of certain grade levels, etc. Throughout this pandemic, we will evaluate the number of current cases within the community to make this decision and will appropriately communicate any decision to you as quickly as possible.

Please be prepared at all times for a change in school operation, as evidenced by many 6th and 8th grade students switching to School at Home over the past few days to quarantine due to the two positive cases we currently have. We continue to become more familiar with instructing through School at Home as more and more staff members have needed to instruct in this mode. Additionally, we received our shipment of iPads and tablets and have worked to properly set them up for students to use. Each student in kindergarten through 8th grade now has access to a device to facilitate School at Home, if needed.

Finally, it is imperative that all parents communicate effectively with the school. Please contact us with any COVID related scenario within your family so that we can work with you to best develop a plan. Caution on the side of keeping your child home until we can work together to determine action steps. If you know your child has been exposed to a positive case or a potentially positive case, please keep your child home and contact us immediately. The more information we have, the better we are able to manage situations as they arise through different grade levels. We strive to constantly keep every staff and student safe and healthy and this is always our top priority.

The Guardian Angels community continues to be in my prayers for safety and strong health.

God bless,

Corey

Don't Forget to Pay Your Dues for 2020-2021

The Athletic and Music Boosters and the PTA are collecting dues ($75/family) for the 2020-2021 school year. To date, fewer than 50% of school families have paid dues. It is critical to collect the dues because the Boosters and PTA depend on these dues to help support the students and teachers throughout the year. The PTA supports the activities for both the students and teachers; this includes classroom supplies/wishlists for classrooms/professional development/campus and school upgrades. Although activities look a little different this year with COVID, the Halloween and Christmas parties are right around the corner. The Classroom Coordinators will be making up individual bags of goodies/games for the parties. There are two ways to pay dues and fees. You can pay online by clicking here. Or you can print out the attached form and send into the school office in an envelope marked PTA/Boosters Dues. We appreciate your ongoing support.
