Face masks now compulsory
for staff & taxi drivers
Face masks will become compulsory for bar staff, shop workers, waiters and taxi drivers in an effort to combat the rise in coronavirus cases in England, the Prime Minister has announced.

Customers in hospitality venues must wear face coverings, except when seated at a table to eat or drink.

Fines for failing to wear a face mask will rise to £200.
Pubs, Bars & Restaurants must close by 10pm
From Thursday 24th September, all pubs, bars and restaurants must be table service only and close at 10pm.

Any business that operates a delivery services can still continue that service after the 10pm curfew.

Businesses will need to display the official NHS QR code posters so that customers can ‘check-in’ at different premises using this option as an alternative to providing their contact details once the app is rolled out nationally on 24 September.
Working from Home
Office workers should work from home again where possible - although workers in "key public services and in all professions where home working is not possible", such as construction and retail, should continue to go in.

This ruling is expected to continue over the winter.
Test and Trace – legal requirement for certain businesses and organisations
Designated venues in certain sectors must have a system in place to request and record contact details of their customers, visitors and staff to help break the chains of transmission of coronavirus.

Businesses should download the QR code poster HERE.
