Dear Cromwell Community Members, 

The Design Development phase is nearly complete and the package will be provided to the committee with the latest drawings. This more detailed design will now go to estimation. This process will be complete in early April.

The committee and Perkins Eastman have worked diligently at value management options to bring the total project cost down while maintaining the programming laid out in the building’s educational specifications. The town will need to determine how to move forward if the estimates continue to be more than the appropriated $58.6 million budget. Stay up to date on all of this activity through the Committee’s Facebook page and following Town Council meetings.

The committee rescheduled the virtual community update with Perkins Eastman to provide a presentation about the project, highlight the STEAM features of the building and answer questions from the community.
