September 2020
A Message from the CEO
We have all faced significant challenges in 2020 and now with the added pressures of the having to support our children with on-line school, working from home, financial struggles and many more new added stresses because of the existing pandemic it is essential we take care of ourselves. CHDC is continuing to offer telehealth (phone call or video visit) to our patients to provide access to medical, dental, behavioral health and physical therapy visits. Please do not delay and schedule your annual well check for medical and dental as we have experienced and caring staff to take care of you and your loved ones! We provide open access scheduling to make it easier when you are able to come in for a medical appointment. Call us today at 610-326-9460.

We are very excited to announce the opening of our 4th location in Barto, located at 1315 Route 100 North, Barto, PA. Medical, dental, and behavioral health services will be provided at this new location. Free transportation will be provided throughout the Boyertown/Barto area to assist patients to get to and from the Barto location.

Flu season is right around the corner and it is highly recommended to get your flu shot especially with COVID-19 still in existence. CHDC provides a safe and clean environment for when you do come into the Health Center and we are following social distance practicing, screening questions and mandatory mask coverings to ensure your visit to CHDC is up to your expectations. All we need is you and your smile and we will take care of the rest!

Keeping our Patients Safe
At Community Health and Dental Care, we are committed to a safe and clean environment as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Locations have been triple-cleaned, all staff are wearing masks, and seating in lobby and waiting rooms are socially distant.

We want to send a special thank you to Transcend Facility Management Company, LLC for all they do to ensure our CHDC facilities are clean and safe. Check out this cool video featuring our main office at the Coventry Mall.
Octodent equipment have been installed in our dental facilities, and patients are being scheduled to allow for appropriate levels of social distancing in our facility. COVID-19 pre-screening includes temperature checks of all patients upon arrival for their scheduled appointment. All patients and staff are required to wear masks.

If you are an existing patient or looking for a new medical home, we invite you to schedule your next appointment by calling 610-326-9460.

CHDC in the Community
Pottstown's Superhero Cleanup!

CHDC had a great time participating in Hobart's Run community wide “Superhero” Clean-up on Saturday, September 12th in Pottstown! In a friendly competition between Reading and Pottstown, CHDC was one of about 20 partner organizations who joined forces to help pick up trash littering the streets and help make Pottstown shine. Many thanks to the “CHDC Health Heroes” team for all their efforts this morning: Aneesha, Phil, Raph, Jenn, Alyssa, and Devon.
Amazing Raise

CHDC is excited to participate in The Amazing Raise to raise funds in support of CHDC patients who struggle with food insecurity.

Presented by the TriCounty Community Network, The Amazing Raise is a 24-hour giving challenge that brings together the Tri-County region's (Montgomery, Northern Chester, Eastern Berks) nonprofit community to help raise much needed unrestricted funds and shine a spotlight on the work nonprofits do to make the 422 corridor a better place to live and work!

Stay tuned for more details on how YOU can support our initiative in October.
Defeat ALS

Our Physical Therapy Department will be participating for the second year in the Jersey Shore Ride to Defeat ALS. They will be riding for the Phelan's Phighters, a friend of CHDC, who succumbed to this tragic disease. The ride is virtual due to the Covid Pandemic, but the Physical Therapy will be collecting funds until mid-October. The Philadelphia Chapter of ALS Society services families in the communities we serve. Please help stomp out ALS!!!! For more information, please click here
Important Health News
Help us spread the word!
The Tri-County Health Council has launched a multi-faceted campaign effort to reach members of the Greater Pottstown region to encourage people to seek immediate emergency care if experiencing signs of a stroke or heart attack. Many people are experiencing anxiety about going to the hospital for emergency care due to the pandemic. However, our hospitals and healthcare facilities are fully equipped and safe for people who need immediate care.

Help us spread the word and reduce the harm done to individuals who might ignore symptoms of stroke and heart attack and not seek care.
