This year, ABTL is partnering with the Wine Vault & Bistro and its owner Chris Gluck to bring our members a four-course menu paired with three different wines. To get us started, Chris will introduce the menu and the pairings and share a little about his own experience transforming what has to be one of San Diego’s best venues for wine dinners into the highest quality “to-go” menu we’ve ever seen. Chris and his team at the Wine Vault not only accepted the challenge physical distancing requirements created, they imagined a new way to provide an extraordinary dinner experience.

We will all begin together in a single “room” via Zoom. In an effort to maximize the social networking aspect many join the ABTL to enjoy, after Chris’ initial comments, registrants will be randomly distributed into separate rooms of no more than 5-8 (depending on total numbers), with a “room” change every 20 minutes. And, because this is our charitable event of the year – benefiting the three local law schools’ trial teams – we’re providing an opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a variety of wines contributed by our chapter’s past presidents, e.g. the “Past President’s Bottle” auction.  

All dinners will be individually packaged and available to pick up from one of three locations (downtown, Mission Valley and Del Mar) between 2-5 p.m. the day of the event on November 17, 2020. Given the very unique circumstances of this year’s program, we are encouraging members to register their significant others and to invite non-members who may enjoy the opportunity to meet and chat with members of our bar and bench while enjoying Wine Vault’s delicious pairings.

We hope to see everyone on November 17, after the last Board of Governor’s meeting of 2020 and look forward to closing out this very challenging year with a toast to all of our judicial and attorney members.
