IN-PERSON WORSHIP

Sunday worship services are held in in our sanctuary at 9am and 11am!

Masks are optional (except for children ages 2-4 and volunteers working with children ages 4 and under). There will be a marked "masks required" section in the front right of the sanctuary for those who don't wish to sit with unmasked attendees.

ONLINE WORSHIP

You can join us virtually via our live-streamed services at 9am and 11am on YouTube, or watch the service later, beginning on Sunday afternoon.

This Worship Resource Page serves as a companion to the online worship service and includes song lyrics and sermon scripture.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Newborn-Preschool: Class is available during services. Upon drop-off, parents/guardians and children receive wristbands with matching numbers. Parents supply their wristband to pick up their child at the conclusion of the service.

Kindergarten - Grade 5: Class is available during both services. Children in this age group will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the CE Room after the Congregational Prayer.

Grades 6-12: All youth will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the Large Youth Room after the Congregational Prayer.

Adults: Classes for adults begin at the start of each service upstairs. At 9am, Pastor Ryan and Lam Nguyen will lead a discussion on the book Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes. At 11am, Pastor Lynda will lead a discussion on the book Rediscovering Scripture's Vision for Women. More information about these studies can be found here.

BABY BOTTLE BLAST

We're collecting coins again this year to benefit the Capital Area Pregnancy Center! Pick up a baby bottle in the lobby to fill, or use your own container and collect between now and June 19 (Fathers' Day)! You can also make a donation online or learn more about the clinic here. After June 19, we'll round up the donations at HBIC and take them to CAPC.

YOUNG ADULT HIKE

All young adults are welcome to join us for a hike at Cove Mountain Preserve on Saturday, May 14 at 2pm. We will meet in the parking area found at 450 Sylvan St., Marysville, PA 17053. The parking lot is an upper gravel lot shared with Wesley United Methodist Church. Bring along water and shoes suitable for hiking. You're welcome to bring a snack as well. Please register here to attend (not required, but helpful).

COMFORTER KNOTTING DAY:

JUNE EDITION

Our next Comforter Knotting Day will be on June 11 from 9am to 3pm at the church. If you can tie a knot, you can help! We will be finishing comforters for MCC’s refugee relief efforts. Come for the day or a few hours! Optional: Bring lunch, a non-spillable drink, and/or thread-snipping scissors. Sign up here or at the info desks in the back of the sanctuary.

THANK YOU!

Special thanks to all who helped at our Spring Work Day this morning! Progress was made on many projects, and your gifts of time and energy are much appreciated!

The Art of Neighboring Book Study (Wednesdays at 6:45pm)

VBS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

VBS 2022 is right around the corner! This year we will explore the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest through Monumental! Join us June 26-30 here at the church!

We need many people to share with the kids of our church and community. Please review the areas in which we need help using this link and sign up to volunteer as you are able! Feel free to contact Pastor Patty with any questions!
FELLOWSHIP DINNER GROUPS

HBIC helps coordinate an opportunity for individuals and families to be intentional about practicing hospitality and sharing meals with one another through Fellowship Dinner Groups. We hope you will consider participating in one of these groups, which generally consists of 8-12 adults. To learn more, visit our website! If you'd like to be assigned to a group, please sign up by May 22. Groups will begin meeting in June.
POST-SECONDARY
SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Education offers opportunity and equity, and it is as important as ever in helping students not only survive but thrive. Some students, however, hit roadblocks to affordable education because of family, economic, or other circumstances. HBIC has set up a scholarship fund to help students cover a small portion of their college costs like textbook or lab fees. These funds can help students towards finishing their degrees so they can find jobs that God has particularly gifted them to do. If you're interested in an application, contact Pastor Brie.
GROCERY GIFT CARDS

Did you know that you can purchase gift cards for Giant, Weis and Karns through HBIC and we get 5% of the value of the card? Contact the church office to order if you're interested and we will arrange a pick-up time with you!

UPCOMING CONCERT EVENT

The Praise Him Singers, featuring our very own Pat Saurman, will be in concert in the area on May 19 and May 22. See their flyer here for their current series featuring The Voices of Zambia!
