Please read this email carefully. Along with sharing news about our worship services and activities for the coming week, we are in prayer over the death of two of our faithful members.
Sunday, January 22
Service times – 8:30 am, 9:45 am, and 11:00 am
On this Sunday we will have a Coffee Hour hosted by Redeemer Renaissance that includes both the Preschool and Afterschool programs. You will see displays in the Crossroads that show some of the ways that the teachers engage the children.
Our worship services are both in-person and livestreamed. This week we need a reader and crucifer at the 11 am service. All are welcome!

Faithful Departed
We recently learned that Jim Hughes died this summer after a brief illness. His daughter, Sally, had moved her parents to a care facility in Culpeper. Joan remains in their memory care unit. Cards of sympathy can be sent to Sally Pontarelli at 215 Macoy Avenue, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Gwen Brown, another faithful member of Redeemer, passed away on Thursday. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 11 am. From 10 am to 11 am Charlie and their two children will receive family and friends in the Crossroads. After the service (which is again at 11 am) a reception will follow in Fellowship Hall. Please keep the family in your prayers and come as you are able to help celebrate Gwen’s life.
Meet and Greet Potluck Dinner - January 29 – 5 pm
The invitation to the dinner is open to everyone! The sole purpose for gathering is to get to know one another better. Use the sign-up link if you can attend and also if you can help to set-up, bring some food to share, or clean-up afterwards. We will have access to the gym for any of the youth who want to enjoy some recreation time.

Day of Prayer – February 6 – 8 am to 8 pm

Annual Meeting – February 12 – 12 pm
All voting members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting to be held on Sunday, February 12, at 12 pm. This coming week the annual reports will be made available to everyone. In addition, we will be voting on two important items.
1) Redeemer Renaissance Bylaw Amendment – Use this link to see the Bylaw changes
2) Building and Grounds Projects
A special email was sent out this week about the proposed plans to renovate the outside grounds and to refurbish areas inside our church building. Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – February 21 – 6 pm
Our pancake supper is the day before Ash Wednesday. Please come to enjoy a meal, fellowship, and support the Youth Mission Trips. We need both adults and youth to volunteer! Here is the link to volunteer. There is no sign-up for the dinner. Just come and enjoy!
Spiritual Retreat – February 25 – 10 am to 4 pm
On Saturday, February 25, we will meet in Reston Town Center in a rooftop space for a one-day retreat. We had our planning meeting this week and are set to engage you in the Word and see how the Holy Spirit stirs us into new directions. Please come and feel free to invite others!
