Troop Cookie Managers and Leaders,

With the extension of the Cookie Program to March 12, you now have until March 16 to complete your troop's recognition order.

For troops that want to receive recognitions (all Daisy and Brownie troops + any J/C/S/A troop that wishes to receive recognition) you’ll find information on page 12 of our Smart Cookies Handbook.

Please make sure you have correct t-shirt sizes entered for those girls who have earned it; exchanges are not possible.

For troops at the Junior level or higher, you may opt out of receiving recognitions in exchange for receiving a higher proceed amount.

Please note:

• This should be a unanimous decision by your troop, obtained by a anonymous vote. Girl Scouts should not be pressured in a group setting to raise their hands or vote out loud.

• Should the vote not go to opting out, Girl Scouts should not be criticized for not opting out. Please keep your thoughts to yourselves.

• If your troop is a group and has Daisies and/or Brownies opting out is not an option. Your troop must be wholly comprised of Juniors and up to opt out.

• Troops who opt out will receive $1.18 per package in proceeds (vs $1.00 per package).

• Girls in troops that opt out will still receive most patches.

To opt out, go to My Troop and choose Troop Information

Under your troop number, change the proceed plan to Opt Out GSKSMO 2023 and change the Main Recognition Plan to 2023 Opt Out. Scroll down to Update Information and click to confirm. You’ve now opted your troop out.

Cookies for Heroes Update

Troops will sell an additional 4 packages per girl for Cookie Share. This can be done in person or through the girl's online link. So for instance, you have a troop of 6 girls - we will look for an additional 24 packages. We have run where troops and girls are now with Cookie Share and we count beginning March 1.

Troops will sign up to participate in Cookies for Heroes.

Download the Cookies for Heroes flyer to use for booth sales and/or share with others.

Troops can help deliver the cookies sold to local fire and police stations.

Cookies for Heroes Rewards

When a troop reaches the 4 additional Cookie Share packages per girl, each girl will receive a Cookies for Heroes heart patch.

All troops that reach this 4 additional Cookie Share per girl benchmark will be entered in a drawing for a complimentary You Schedule It Community Partner experience. We will draw two troops.

All girls who reach the 4 additional Cookie Share package benchmark will be entered in a drawing for our super size Dolly Dolphin mascot. One girl to be drawn.

BRAND NEW! We have heard very important feedback from you! Thank you!! Should a troop not sign up to participate, an individual girl can earn the patch by selling an additional 4 or more cookie share packages. The girl link is an easy way to do this. We are looking at 4+ more Cookie Share from March 1 - 12. A girl only has to hit this goal. No sign up necessary!
