FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Dear Fisher Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you and yours well. As we look ahead to Thanksgiving, there are so many things to be thankful for: our health, our family, good friends and so much more. I hope each of you has some time to reflect on all the things for which you are thankful.

As the COVID climate changes yet again, I encourage you to listen in to the November 19, Thursday, LGUSD Board Meeting at 6:30pm. The plans for January will be reviewed and the current Purple Tier designation will be discussed.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Take care and stay well.

Mary Lonhart
Principal

FISHER HONOR CHOIR
Congratulations to Medha S., Amiya S., Kiara Z., and Cadence N. on being accepted into the California All-State Junior High Honor Choir. This prestigious group is made up of 120 of the top singers in grades six through nine in California. The honor groups traditionally come together to rehearse and perform at the All-State Music Educators Conference in the spring. However, this year will all be done virtually.

Unlike the high school counterpart, the Junior High division has no local honor choir. In high school students are able to audition for Regional, Northern/Southern, and All-State.

In order to audition, students had to record themselves singing the assigned audition materials that consisted of scales, arpeggios, and an acappella (without backing track) selection. These audio recordings were then sent off to be judged by a blind panel where the best of the best were selected.

Congratulations! We know you are going to represent Fisher well!
OUR FINAL PHOTO DAY IS TOMORROW!
If you have not had a chance to participate in our photos days, please come tomorrow, November 19, between 11:00AM and 4:00PM. It is imperative that your child participate in this important event to be included in the yearbook and to receive their 20.21 student ID card.

This is a drive-thru, picture day plan. Parents will drive through the Fisher parking lot and follow the signs for this touchless event.  Order Pictures on line! Our Picture Day ID is EVTRB6FCP order at this link.
