Dr. Qingfang Song, Associate Professor of Child and Family Services at WKU, was selected to receive a grant through the Kentucky IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (KY INBRE). The funded project will help researchers investigate the risk and resilience factors in relation to ethnic minority children's stress reactivity to race-based stressors, which can potentially inform practice and programs on racial health disparities. It can also provide research training and opportunities to undergraduate students who are interested in race and health. "I appreciate the great support from KY INBRE to make this study possible," Dr. Song said.
