Garfield County Variance Request Considered Today at 2 p.m.
Today at 2 p.m. Garfield County Commissioners will formally consider a variance request from the State of Colorado. Access the meeting here.


Garfield County commissioners sent a letter to Governor Polis Monday, asking him to consider revising the health order to allow restaurants to open at 30% capacity with inside and outside dining, and allow monitoring of other businesses that are willing to open. The letter precedes a variance the county intends to file. With more than 600 reviewed business plans submitted to the county, the commissioners indicated to the governor it will be a positive and successful move forward, while remaining safe for the public and employees within Garfield County.
