Student Spotlight: Cara

Cara received several scholarships to help cover her academic expenses, including the JoshuaOneNine Career Links Scholarship, the HCC Educational Foundation Career Links Scholarship, and the Maxim Charitable Foundation Scholarship. “The scholarships were very motivating,” Cara says. “I felt like there were people out there who were willing to help me if I was willing to put the work in.”

Fueling Dragons Spotlight: Food Pantry
As more students return to campus the need to help fight food insecurity will increase. The campus food pantry provides access to nutritious food and personal care items and is open to only Howard Community College students. Help restock HCC's food pantry by bringing a canned food item to Thursday's training at Feet First or on race day.

Organizations are also invited to host food drives or donation drives to support the food pantry. For more information, contact pantry@howardcc.edu or learn more about the Fueling Dragons program HERE.
