Riverfest 2021 is Back
August 1, 2021 - August 8, 2021
River Fest 2021 is scheduled for August 3-8. 

Designed to showcase the potential of the Kennebec River Gorge as the future home of Run of River, River Fest is Skowhegan's annual multi-day celebration of recreation and life on the Kennebec.


River Fest is sponsored by Skowhegan Savings Bank and organized by the Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Skowhegan, Skowhegan Parks and Recreation, and the Run of River Committee.

Skowhegan Rotary Club Lobster Bake (Curbside Pickup)

Join the Rotary Club for the annual lobster bake! Pre-order, pre-pay, and pre-schedule your pick-up time! Must complete your purchase by July 30th. $17/single lobster meal or $27/double lobster meal. Each dinner includes corn on the cob, roll, butter, and a Bankery cookie. When you purchase your meals online, you will select the 1-hour time block to pick up your lobsters curbside. Get tickets here.

Drivers and Duffers Golf Classic

This golf classic is put on by the Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce. Registration includes one round of 18 holes, one ticket for a lobster dinner, and one player’s portion of a cart. More here

Bring some glow sticks and your canoe or kayak for a visually compelling experience! Registration is not required, and you must bring your own glow sticks. Skowhegan Parks & Rec has some canoes and kayaks available for people to borrow—request ahead of time by calling 207-474-6901.

The Rob Burnell Band is always a crowd pleaser!

Enjoy a delightful outdoor dining experience and a sky lit up with fireworks in beloved Coburn Park. The evening will include a cocktail hour, locally sourced buffet dinner, live auction, live music, and fireworks over the river. Event hosted by Main Street Skowhegan. Fireworks will light up the night sky. View this spectacular River Fest culmination from downtown, the eddy, or the pedestrian bridge. If there is a downpour or severe weather, the rain date will be Sunday, Aug. 8. Please check the Skowhegan River Fest Facebook page for updates if there is inclement weather.
