Partner Fund Update and Prayer Request


The Partner Fund Task Force has been working under the charge of the Elders, Missions Committee, and congregation on the processes and policies to guide the disbursement of this fund.  We will continue working on these through at least the month of July. Then, it is expected that we will issue a Request for Special Projects Support in August, calling for special project needs. This call for special projects would likely first go out to supported GBC partners with a focus on unreached people groups, which reflects the priorities set by the Missions Committee and Elders.  We will share regular updates with
the congregation, so stay tuned for more information!  



Find your place in God's redemptive story as we focus on how to read and understand the whole Bible.

In this class, we will grapple with a method of reading Scripture that allows the text to establish the story on its own terms, by considering its structure, genre, literary nature, and canonical form.

This class will be offered in 14 weekly sessions, from 6-8 pm, beginning Tuesday, August 24. Students will be expected to attend classes, read three books and write personal interactions with the reading material.

Our stewardship committee has approved the switch from our current online giving processor to Faithlife Giving,which is integrated with our new church database program. This change was necessary as our current platform is charging hidden fees and not transparent with our account. We worked hard to negotiate the processing fees from Faithlife Giving down to the lowest in the industry. 
 
This means a little work for you. Unfortunately there isn't a way to easily transfer recurring giving from the old system to the new system. Each individual will have to manually switch over his/her giving. Don't worry though, it is very easy to set up giving and recurring giving in Faithlife. Due to our contract with the current software ending July 29th, please cancel any scheduled gifts prior to that date.
