Dr. Kimberly Carr Shares Her Tuskegee Legacy Story
The Ad Council and COVID Collaborative have launched a documentary as part of the “It’s Up To You” campaign, which highlights stories of the descendants of the men involved in the US Public Health Service Syphilis Study (USPHS) at Tuskegee. Featuring Kimberly Carr, PhD, MPH, a Community Resource Specialist at the GRHIC, the campaign was developed to help foster confidence in COVID-19 vaccines, particularly in the rural South. Read more

Supplement ERAS Application
In addition to the main MyERAS application, three specialties (internal medicine, dermatology, and general surgery) will use a supplemental ERAS application. This short, free supplemental application features new questions to help applicants share more information about themselves with programs. The supplemental application will be open for a limited time in September. The AAMC will host an informational webinar for students on Thursday, August 5.

The MD class of 2024 invites you to join them for an evening of fundraising, baseball, and fun as the Macon Bacon take on the Savannah Bananas on August 27 at 7pm! Academic Medicine: Call for Cover Art Submissions
Academic Medicine, a peer-reviewed journal of the AAMC, is seeking original artwork related to an academic medicine experience for its popular cover art feature. The journal’s new cover design prominently features original artwork, and artists will have an opportunity to submit their work for consideration by an expert panel of reviewers. Submissions will be accepted through July 30.
