Restaurant Fundraiser

Eat Better. Feel Better. Dine-in or pick up tasty, fresh breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert items from Blackberry Market during the entire week of 10/18-10/24, 8am-3pm daily! This is a great way to support a local business and Cossitt PTC at the same time--10% of proceeds will be donated to Cossitt PTC! Print out the attached flyer, show it on your smartphone, or tell the cashier that you're supporting Cossitt PTC to make sure that 10% of the proceeds will be donated. Orders should be placed either in the store or via phone call so that team members can mark orders as part of the fundraiser. If ordering online, please remember to enter the code PTC10 in the Promo code box so that our school gets credit! Take a break from cooking all week long!
Book Fair

Cossitt's 2020 Virtual Book Fair will be held November 2nd-6th! This year it's easier than ever to support Cossitt through the 2020 Book Fair. During the last several months, books have done what they've always done best: they allowed us to venture beyond the walls we find ourselves behind. Whether you need to freshen your library at home, get a gift or make a purchase for your child's classroom/LRC--the Cossitt Book Fair has got you covered. The PTC receives 20-25% of all sales! More information coming next week…
Gift Card Drive
The PTC is sponsoring a Grocery Gift Card Collection drive in the month of October. All donations will go to the Secret Santa program sponsored by the Rotary Club, Pillars Community Health and the Park District of LaGrange. See Flier below for more details and drop off information. This is a great way to give back to our community members who need a little extra help during the holiday season.
Seeking Candidates for District 102 School Board

The Delegate Assembly, a non-partisan group of community members, is seeking interested candidates for the upcoming District 102 School Board Elections. The Delegate Assembly is charged with identifying, interviewing, and endorsing candidates for the District 102 School Board.

There will be 3 open seats, and elections will be held in April 2021. Board members serve a 4 year term. Candidates must live in the District 102 boundaries. More information on the responsibilities of the School Board can be found by clicking here.

Applications for endorsement are due on October 19, 2020. Click below for a link to the application:
If you have any further questions, please contact Melissa Dillenbeck at msdillenbeck@gmail.com or the Delegate Assembly at delegateassemblydist102@gmail.com.

Please share this information with anyone who might be interested. If you know someone who might be a good candidate, please encourage them to apply!
Virtual Bike Rodeo
Don't forget - Bike Rodeo forms are due TODAY! This year the Bike Rodeo for 3rd Grade students and new Cossitt 4th-6th Graders will be virtual. Please see the attached document for some bike safety information to review with your student as well as videos of practice activities, and a bike safety quiz. We look forward to seeing more bike riders going to and from school, and always make sure your kids wear helmets when they are biking!
Original Works : K and 1st Grade
1st Grade & Kindergarten Parents - if your child attended Barnsdale last school year this is for you. Barnsdale is running a fundraiser for Original Works. Due to Covid the fundraiser last spring was brought to a halt. Your student completed an artwork last year, but you were not given the option to purchase.

NOW YOU CAN!!!

Please visit this website: store.originalworks.com/gallerylogin Enter school code BARDL (for current 1st graders) or BARDLPK (for preschoolers last year). Find your teacher's name in the drop down. Then find your child's artwork. It's that simple. Fundraiser ends October 28

Please help make this fundraiser a huge success.

Any questions, please email Natalie at nataliecampos1912@gmail.com
Box Tops

Even though the Box Tops program has gone digital, there are still some products out there that have unexpired traditional clips. If you see the traditional clip on the box, you can still get credit for those! Please send unexpired clipped Box Tops with your student to school by Monday, October 26th. There will be a marked box in the entryway of the Cossitt office designated for Box Tops.
Spirit Wear
Don't Forget Every Friday is now designated as official COSSITT SPIRIT DAYS! Be sure to wear your Cossitt spirit wear (examples: end of year event t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc). Whether you are hybrid or full remote, we can't think of a better way to come together as a Cossitt community by showing our COSSITT TIGER pride!
