Stallions in the Spotlight
Seven SFD students went on one of the first live, in-person retreats allowed by the Diocese at the end of February. The retreat was titled “Search” and was put on by the Church of the Resurrection Youth Ministry team. Seniors Kevin Heil, Mia Slanoc and Thomas Bateman, junior Kaylyn Malinowski, and sophomores Margot Nalli, Jillian Conroy and Ella Dingman traveled to Camp Damascus to focus on
"our search for God, where we try to find our value in life, and where we can actually find this value."
Last week we held our 4th annual World Cultures assembly and celebrated the unique and wonderfully diverse student body here at SFD! To check out more photos from this assembly as well as view the Fashion Show portion of the annual event, be sure to visit our school's Facebook page @sfdstallions!
In February, the month of love, members of the (Evangelization) E-Team began praying for the second graders at St. James the Less school as they prepare for their First Holy Communion in late April. Last week the E-Team delivered friendship cards to these second graders, with an invitation to "write back." This new initiative will give the St. James the Less students a chance to practice their reading and writing skills, in addition to knowing that they have a special friend at St. Francis DeSales High School praying for them.
The following students will be participating in the JustWrite State championships on Saturday, May 22nd:
Freshman - AnMarie Trolli
Sophomore - Adam Weithman
Juniors - Cecelia Coglianese, Rori Draminski, Abby Groff, Mariana Perez-Flores, Abby Reagan, Elisa Skaggs
Good luck to these Stallions!

Check Out the Stallion WishBook

The StallionWishBook is OPEN! We hope you will join us in this new opportunity to support our students in their co-curricular programs.

Why the WishBook Is So Important
Students in our co-curricular programs have shown tremendous courage and determination this year, in the face of adversity like we have never seen, making the best out of the opportunities that they have been given. It started this summer when they were allowed to train not even knowing if they would have a season. It continued into the fall dealing with quarantines, limiting crowds to parents only, shortened season schedules and always dealing with the unknown of 'will the season end tomorrow?' Students in the performing arts perfected their craft, knowing most of their audience members would be viewing their performances from home. In spite of all that, our students carried on the tradition of excellence that is St. Francis DeSales High School.

Click here to see how you can personally make a wish come true for our Stallions.
Real Presence, Real Future

We hope you will take a few minutes to listen to Bishop Brennan as he speaks about increasing the presence of Christ throughout the Diocese, and upholding the faith for future generations.

Spiritual Reflection
Dear Lord, today, you talk about being with people who put on airs, who think themselves more important or more knowledgeable than they really are. Oh, how we want to puncture them with a few well-chosen words! Yet in reality they may be the most frightened and lonely people around. Help us to serve them, to ease or grow out of their fear instead of condemning them. Amen.
