Hey Families!
“There is something so special in the early leaves drifting from the trees–as if we are all to be allowed a chance to peel, to refresh, to start again.”
—Ruth Ahmed
"the leaves believe
such letting go is love
such love is faith
such faith is grace
such grace is god
i agree with the leaves"
—Lucille Clifton
These two poems spoke to me yesterday as the winds picked up and the leaves started to fall. I love the fall—the relief from the heat and humidity, the beauty of the changing colors around us, and the wind that blows in that change and sweeps out the old.
Being a very visual person, I SEE the wind clearing out my old musty thoughts and making room for new ones. I SEE the "letting go" process as the worries and thoughts drift away. I SEE and FEEL the new clean, scared space left for the Holy Spirit to wing Her way into a newly widened mind.
I hope we all take the opportunity "to peel, to refresh, and to start again" this fall because such Grace is God. I agree with the leaves.

Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, September 26 at 9:00 a.m. in Kennedy Courtyard
Join as we celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment. Bring your animals (furry, feathered, stuffed or otherwise) for an outdoor worship service that includes blessing of the animals and communion. You can also make a name-tag necklace to honor a pet that has recently died or a pet that doesn’t do well coming to church.
Note: This worship service will replace both Children's Church and the 9:00 a.m. worship service in Ellis Hall; the rain location will be Ellis Hall.

The Nursery is Open!
Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on the playground (1st floor if weather is bad)
Babies through kids in Pre-K are invited to come play with us, sing with us, and learn about God's great love. We will stay outside as much as possible this fall to stay safe and enjoy God's creation. Our nursery workers are all fully vaccinated and masked.
The team is led by our wonderful Interim Nursery Director, Mary Beth Toole and energetic and loving All Saints' teens. Kids enjoy a 15 minute Little Saints' service where they hear a story, have time to wonder and respond to the story through art, singing, and drama and then enjoy a snack of water and graham crackers. Come join us!
