Dear WES Families,

It has been wonderful to see our Dragons back on campus, and we are excited to start week two!

As I have mentioned in my previous communications, the situation around COVID-19 remains highly fluid, and our policies will adapt at times in response to public health metrics and the guidance of federal and state public health officials. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated their guidelines for travel for unvaccinated individuals, and consequently, we have revised our policy as well.

Beginning September 20, all unvaccinated students who travel by plane or train, domestically or internationally, must quarantine from on-site learning for 10 days. Alternatively, students may return to campus after 7 days of quarantine with a negative PCR test taken on day 5 from travel. If an unvaccinated household member travels by plane or train, they should isolate within the house upon their return or the student must quarantine following the guidelines above. All travel of unvaccinated persons should be reported through this form. Please also note that virtual learning is not accessible for quarantining due to travel.

It is our sincerest hope that the metrics improve, and we can loosen travel restrictions again in the coming months.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,
Danny Vogelman
Head of School
