Guild Meeting

UPCYCLED GIFT BAGS

Winter has officially arrived, our clocks are set back, and holiday preparations have begun! Join the Northwoods Book Arts Guild at our next meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Pioneer Park's Blue Room. We will open the meeting with updates on the Letterpress Project and pass around samples produced by the recent Letterpress class attendees, announce upcoming classes, exchange "Winter Card" books, and top off the meeting by learning how to make upcycled gift bags from almost any kind of paper!

Please arrive early so we may begin the meeting promptly!

Meeting attendees should bring:

Bone folder

Glue stick

12 inch ruler

Optional: extra small hole punch, if you have one

If Only...a fine store highlighted Northwoods Book Arts Guild at their First Friday event on November 6. "Celebrating Handmade Books" featured books created by Susan Campbell, Laurel Herbeck, Oralee Nudson, Mary Maisch, Connie Stricks, and Margo Klass. The evening drew people who came specifically to see the variety of books on display as well as those who discovered book arts for the first time. Demonstrations of different aspects of bookmaking took place throughout the evening and everyone was invited to take home an origami-folded booklet about Northwoods Book Arts Guild. To all who participated and attended...thank you!!
