IAWF Successful Panel in iBRIDGE Conference

From December 8-10th, over 500 Iranians gathered in Barcelona for the inspiring three-day iBRIDGE Conference. iBRIDGE brings together high-tech entrepreneurs of Iranian decent for three days of collaboration, creation, and connection. Participants arrived from all corners of the world. On December 9th, participants were invited to join the IAWF "Entrepreneurial Challenges and Success Stories" panel.  The panel comprised of IAWF-members Panni Morshedi, Faty Amir Soleimani, Sara Ahmadian and Elnaz Sarraf. Each panelist shared their unique story and connected the audience to a place of internal ambition and motivation. IAWF's Founder and President, Mariam Khosravani, delivered a speech on the importance of building bridges within our community. Her speech discussed the necessity of these bridges between areas of diversity for the well-being and growth of our vibrant community. The innovative energy at iBRIDGE was palpable. We are honored to be part of their creation and community.  
 


Hon. Sabrina Kraus
New York
 
The Honorable Sabrina Kraus, a New York Housing Court Judge, is the winner of a recent election for public office. She recently ran a successful campaign and won in the November election for New York Civil Court Judge. She is now the first Iranian-American elected to the bench in Manhattan.   Kraus has more than 20 years of legal experience spanning multiple practice areas including civil litigation, commercial litigation and real estate and housing cases.  As a Housing Court Judge, Judge Kraus presides over trials and resolutions concerning housing and real estate matters in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.  Before her appointment as a Housing Court Judge, Judge Kraus was a partner at two prestigious law firms in Manhattan.  She also served two consecutive terms (four years) as the elected President of The Association of Housing Court Judges.  Visit Sabrina's IAWF profile here. 
          Zohre Elahian

Zohre Elahian has been actively involved in international development for over 15 years. She is co-founder of Schools Online, a not-for-profit organization that has brought computers to schools and introduced ICT in education in many countries around the world and within the US. As the Managing Director of Global Catalyst Foundation, Ms. Elahian has also evaluated many projects, addressing critical needs in education, ICT and microfinance; her foundation has provided funding to such projects. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Relief International for over 8 years, working on developmental and humanitarian projects in many countries including Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. She is on the board of Partners for Sustainable Development, Goorulearning and Iranian American Foundation. Shokouh Ansari
Southern California

Dr. Shokouh Ansari received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine in 1984, and later received her Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts Dental School in Boston in 1988. Dr. Ansari and her husband, Dr. Kia Ebrahim, have a successful, state of the art private dental practice in San Juan Capistrano, CA, where they provide quality and compassionate care to their patients. She has been in the practice for over 28 years and has been an active member of many professional and dental societies, including the American Dental Association, the CA Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Shokouh believes that IAW Foundation is a wonderful organization to inspire Iranian-American women everywhere to become aware of their potentials and capabilities, and she has volunteered in the organization along with her daughter in the past. Visit Shokouh's IAWF profile  here.
