FAFSA / TASFA priority deadline is January 15
If you haven't completed the FAFSA or TASFA application for financial aid, you still have time. The priority deadline in Texas is January 15.

Colleges and universities receive federal and state grant money to award students with financial need. Students that complete their FAFSA or TASFA by January 15 are given priority. GRADcafé can help!

The Giving Gown Foundation Scholarship
Female seniors in High School from Houston or surrounding area with a minimum of 2.5 GPA are eligible to apply for the Giving Gown Scholarship. Must enroll in a full or part-time undergraduate program working towards an associate’s, bachelor’s degree, trade or workforce certificate at an institution of higher education accredited by a state or nationally recognized accreditation agency. The Dream.US National Scholarship
For undocumented students

The Goya Foods Culinary Arts Scholarship is available on a competitive basis to students planning to enroll as freshman in a culinary arts or food sciences area of study.

Foundation 649 discovers and empowers young, talented Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who are actively elevating and serving their communities across the country. Thurgood Marshall College Fund
TMCF Scholarships are given to outstanding students, ambitious and qualified, who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree. Most scholarships are one year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated.

Early Childhood Education Program
A community-based free public school in partnership with Harris County Precinct 2, the Leonel Castillo Early Childhood STEM Academy offers a high quality early childhood education program, full day Pre-K3 & Pre-K4, in Houston's Near Northside.
