All Saints Day Masses and Memorial Celebration for All Souls
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will celebrate All Saints Day and a Memorial Celebration for All Souls during each Mass the weekend of November 1. Our deceased loved ones names will be read at each Mass and a candle lit in their honor. If you have a family member who died this past year (since November 1, 2019) and whose funeral was offered elsewhere, please send your name, your loved one's name, relationship and date of death to the parish office at sjbparish@sjbplymouth.org or call 920-892-4006. After Mass families may take home a memorial candle in honor of their deceased loved one. Please register to attend Mass.
All Souls Remembrance Book
During the month of November a remembrance book will be placed near the Altar for you to record the names of your departed loved ones. These souls will be prayed for and remembered at all St. John the Baptist Masses during the month of November. Due to COVID-19, please bring your own pen. Thank you for understanding.

Bless our confirmation students on retreat this weekend,
and pray for them as they continue to prepare for Sacrament of Confirmation
God of all ages, You send out your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, look kindly on our candidates for Confirmation as they seek to hear your voice. As they embark on this retreat day, we pray that you send your Spirit to enlighten, guide, strengthen, console, and open their hearts as they continue to seek a closer relationship with you. Help them to truly know the deep and abiding love you have for each of them and fill them with the joy of your presence. As our community prepares these students for Confirmation, make us an instrument of your love, teach us to reverence what is holy in others and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deepen our faith and help us to pass it on. By your example we pray that you continue to guide and sustain us, and teach us the way of love. We praise you through Christ our Lord. Amen

Please join members of the SJB community for a screening of Unplanned (2019), which tells the inspiring true story of one woman's journey of transformation. One of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, Abby Johnson was passionate about her work counseling women about their reproductive choices -- until the day she saw something that changed everything, leading her to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life and become one of America's most ardent pro-life activists. The screening will be on Monday, October 19 at 6:00pm in the School Library, and registration is required. CLICK HERE to learn more and register.

RPM's - Rosary, Prayers and More for Mary
October 27th and the 4th Tuesday of each month
6:30 in the School Library
We focus on praying the rosary together as a community, offering prayer intentions, and sharing and growing in our faith. What better way to get closer to Jesus than through His mom, our Blessed Mother! We will gather at 6:30 PM in the Library with a short introduction and prayer intentions, begin praying the scriptural rosary about 6:45 PM, and estimate to conclude by 7:30 PM. Those who are interested can continue to share and socialize until 8:00 PM. You can register by completing this form: RPM's registration - which simply puts you on the mailing list for all future RPM's and gives access to shared documents - there is NO obligation to attend or RSVP each month, simply come when you can! For questions or assistance signing up, please contact Diane Gafney at onmkids@gmail.com or 920-254-2215. "For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" -Matthew 18:20

A Message from the School Principal, Mrs. Amy Nelson
|
|
The teachers and staff participated in an annual training conducted by officers from the Plymouth Police Department. The officers gave the staff an overview of safety procedures in the event of an intruder or in preparation for other situations. Students and staff participate in monthly drills, including ones for tornado and fire safety. Thank you to the Plymouth Police Department for their partnership in helping us to be as safe as possible.

The Conference of St. John the Baptist St. Vincent de Paul Society continues to celebrate it’s AWARENESS MONTH throughout October. Did you know that the SJB Thanksgiving Day Collection at Mass is entirely gifted to The Conference of SJB SVDP? If you haven’t gone to Mass on Thanksgiving day, why not? What a perfect sign of gratitude to share in the Eucharist.
Thank you in advance for attending Mass on Thanksgiving day and giving generously when the collection takes place! If you will not be attending Thanksgiving day Mass and you still want to support SJB’s largest service outreach, you are encouraged to make checks out to SVDP Conference and mail or drop off at the parish office, drop box, or collection baskets. Keep an eye out for the SVDP ANNUAL REPORT in next weekend’s bulletin.
Looking for a little extra support these days? Find out more HERE.
