The LPEF is the proud investment partner in the Lake Park High School INCubator program.
In the INCubator course, students engage in hands-on, entrepreneurial learning by developing a business of their own. The course culminates in a Pitch Night event, where students present their business plan in a “shark tank” competition.
The first class is now underway and soon students will start to use the new INCubator space at LPHS! Thank you to all who have donated and helped with getting the room ready for our student entrepreneurs! The new INCubator space at Lake Parking is coming together nicely!
Ways to get involved:
- Be a classroom board member, coach, or mentor.
- Be a founding donor and/or sponsor by partnering with the Lake Park Educational Foundation.

Alumni Spotlight - Esteban Diaz, Class of 2012
|
This month we shine the spotlight on Esteban Diaz from the Lake Park class of 2012. Esteban is the Community Youth Services Project Lead for the Kenneth Young Center. The Kenneth Young Center's mission is to partner with communities to support people of all ages to navigate life's challenges through personalized prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery. The organization fosters healthier communities through counseling, treatment, and support for those in need.
Esteban is the project lead on the Community Youth Services grant for the Communities for Positive Youth Development diversion within the Kenneth Young Center.
Esteban says his greatest accomplishment since graduation from Lake Park "has been being a first generation college graduate of a Latino family. This accomplishment has allowed me the opportunity to work with youth with similar backgrounds as mine in the area where I grew up." Esteban has a Bachelor's Degree from Elmhurst College in Secondary Education.
Esteban will also be highlighted in our monthly Lake Park Alumni Spotlight video and on the alumni website. Watch for the video to be shared on social media next week!
