A welcoming, diverse and active community. We share God's love in a spiritual environment offering truth, trust and transformation.
Loving Note from Rev. Vickie and Rev. Nancy
Dear SunCoast MCC Congregation,
Family and Friends,

At this challenging of times for our Church family, we send you this note hoping and praying that you and your loved ones are safe and well. We hope that you have enjoyed your Summer as we look forward to the Fall season. We miss you and we look forward to seeing you. We are also reaching out to ask you to complete this brief Check-In Survey on the safety protocols, timing and volunteer activities we need to put in place to gather together at Church.
You can be confident that your input continues to help us make the best decisions about gathering together… safely, differently and creatively. Please take a moment now to let us know. The last time we surveyed you was at the beginning of the pandemic. We need to hear from you again! Thank you in advance.

**Funds the church's mortgage, insurance and taxes.
Pastoral and Congregational Update
Do you have a Prayer Request? SunCoast MCC continues to find ways to stay connected with you through regular phone check-ins, drive-by gatherings, Zoom programs, bible studies and prayer surges. All to support you.

Your need for comforting and lifting prayers are important to us. Each month, with your permission, we will list your prayer requests in Staying Connected as a way to enlist the congregation to join in prayer. However, if you prefer, we can pray with you in private. Please send us your prayer requests at any time.
Join us in Virtual Prayers for the following and their loved ones.
  • MCC and our moderator who are leading our denomination during a challenging time.
  • Our Pastors and their families.
  • Our volunteers who continue to take care of our church in so many ways.
  • SunCoast MCC family and friends who are ill and/or are recovering from illness.
  • Essential workers who are taking care of our communities.
Carla Petersen Retires from SunCoast MCC's Office Manager Position

At our Homecoming Gathering, on Friday, September 25, at 6:30 PM, we will thank and honor Carla Petersen for her service as our Office Manager for the last few years.

Please come out that evening to thank her in person – we will also acknowledge her at our Homecoming service as well.

Carla has been a loyal, faithful servant, and a constant during many changes at SunCoast. Please continue to keep her, and her wife Sharon Van Butsel in your prayers. Sharon is in hospice care as of the last several weeks. Carla and Sharon together have been key volunteers and members since 2013.

No experience is necessary and there is room for all in the circle. Please bring a lawn chair (type with a firm bottom rather than a sinking/sling seat is better), bug spray, sunscreen, water and a drum if you have it.

If you are interested, please email your name and whether you need a drum or if you will be bringing your own to Dr. David Katz. Click here to email Dr. KatzThis will allow him to communicate with you if inclement weather requires a cancelation.
