MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! I pray that each of you had a wonderful Christmas season and have begun a brand new year with joy. Every year (and every day) is a gift from God for which we all should be thankful.

As we begin a new year, it is natural to look for a fresh start. Perhaps you've made some resolutions to eat better, sleep more, or take up a new hobby. There is just something about a fresh calendar that helps us all to reset and refocus.

Which is what we're going to be doing in worship over the next four weeks with our new sermon series, "Back to the Basics." We all struggle to stay focused on the basics in this world. Time in prayer, reading the Scriptures, confessing our sins to God, and serving others; these are the foundations of our faith. Let’s start the New Year off right and get back to the basics.

Each week we'll focus on a basic building block of our faith, and encourage one another to commit in this new year to getting back to the basics that really can change our lives.

So, while you're making your list of resolutions, I hope you add (and maybe put at the top) getting Back to The Basics.

Grace and Peace,

Ricky
