Doctor for a Day 2021
Doctor for a Day 2021 is looking for more volunteers! Doctor for a Day is a conference in Atlanta that gives high school and pre-med students the opportunity to be exposed to medicine and network with current medical students and physicians. This year there will be a "Journey & Life as a Physician" presentation, medical case review, medical student panel, two interactive sessions, and a networking lunch. Last year the interactive sessions involved chest compression coaching and exposure to pathology specimens. It really is a great learning experience!

If you're interested, email Dylan Krause, student coordinator or Andrew Hearn to learn more. We would love to have a strong Mercer presence and Andrew is currently the only medical student representing us.

The HCA Journal of Medicine is currently soliciting submissions for their Medical Humanities Section.
All types of creative work are considered including: videos of music or dance performance, original photography, essays, poems, and original graphic artwork. The only commonality is that it is inspired by medicine or wellness and can be described as such in a brief abstract of the inspiration for the piece.

The submission process is straightforward and author guidelines can be found online.

The HCA Journal of Medicine is a user-friendly, open access, on-line journal that published its first issue in February 2020. To view the most recent journal click here.
