Hello, Westview families,
It has been so great to see many of our families on campus this week for teacher conferences. Our teachers are so proud of their students and love an opportunity to share their progress with families.
We are looking forward to another opportunity to welcome families to the Westview campus. One event that we are proud to be adding to our spring calendar is WESTVIEW'S CELEBRATION OF LEARNING, the week of April 25 – 29. The development of student critical thinking and problem-solving skills is one of the top priorities identified by staff and families during our strategic planning surveys. The Celebration of Learning is an opportunity for families to see examples of their child's best work. Our homeroom teachers are curating a collection of work for each student and are very excited to showcase the great work of their students. As part of this one-hour visit, students and their families will visit the school art gallery and book fair. More details to come, but we wanted to make sure you saved the date and time for your student.

Update to Westview COVID Protocols
We are also happy to announce some additional changes to the following COVID protocols.
Effective immediately:
- Travel quarantine is no longer required for individuals regardless of vaccination status.
Effective Monday, March 28, 2022:
- Weekly Health Screenings will no longer be required for staff and students upon entry to The Westview School. We ask that families take time to self-screen before starting the school week. If your child is sick, please keep them home.
- Temperature checks of staff and students will no longer be required before entering The Westview School.
As previously communicated, The Westview School is currently mask optional. The term optional means that each individual staff member and family will be allowed to make their own choice about masking regardless of vaccination status. This means that some teachers may choose to continue wearing a mask in our classrooms, and some families may choose to have their children continue masking. We will respect and support each individual’s decision regarding wearing a mask. As a school, we will not ask anyone to remove their mask.
For more details on our COVID-19 policy, visit the COVID-19 page on our website.
We thank you for your continued support, confidence, and trust. Together we remain Westview Strong.

Be Our Guest at The Westview School Fundraising Luncheon
Be our Guest at The Westview School Fundraising Luncheon. The event is back in person at River Oaks Country Club. Please save the date for Wednesday, March 30th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and join our community in support of The Westview School.
We need the help of our families to make this event a success. We are looking for individuals to host a table for the luncheon. Here is how it works: Register here as a guest or table host. Then, you invite friends, family, co-workers to sit with you at our luncheon and learn all the great things Westview is doing for our students.
It costs nothing to host a table. The event is FREE to attend for all guests, but registration is required. At the event, there will be a short program with both student and parent speakers concluding with a soft ask for donations from our Board of Directors. If you have guests interested in supporting The Westview School, please consider hosting a table and extending an invitation to them. Think friends, family, neighbors, business associates, professionals, and church members.

Message from POW: Family Fun Day + Spring Raffle Coming Soon
Thank you to everyone who attended today's POW meeting. A large part of the meeting was spent planning POW Family Fun Day and the upcoming Spring Raffle. Family Fun Day has been on a two-year hiatus, but it is a long-standing POW tradition. It is such a fun event for our families, and we cannot wait to bring it back to campus.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 9, from 1P to 3P for POW Family Fun Day. You may be wondering, "what is Family Fun Day?" Family Fun Day is a super fun, carnival-type event for our families. In honor of Westview's 40th Anniversary, a theme is in the works for a Family Fun Day Birthday Bash. What to expect? We will have a trackless train, rock wall, bounce house for the littles, zip line, ice cream, popcorn, carnival games with prizes, and so much more! More details to come!
