Springs Recovery Connection Mission
To strengthen the recovery community through peer and family support, public education and advocacy.
The SRC offices are now open from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday
A Recovery Ready Community
The Springs Recovery Connection Peer-to-Peer Recovery Coach Model is based upon the belief that coaching is about freedom, support, the future, and a fresh perspective. We understand that recovery is often about past struggles and old stories. SRC combines Peer-to-Peer Coaching and Recovery to create a conversation around possibilities.

Change the Name: End the Stigma
The words that we use matter. Stigma has been identified as a barrier to treatment and recovery among individuals with addiction. Research shows that the commonly used term, "abuse", increases stigma.

Now is the time to tell Congress that national government agencies with words like "abuse" must undergo a NAME CHANGE.

Meet our new CRAFT family group facilitator:
Rebecca Cota
Over the past 30 years I have dedicated myself to mentoring and supporting individuals and families overcoming the challenges inherent to familial alcoholism that include codependency, relationship difficulties/addiction and financial stability challenges.   I guide instruction of lifelong tools that aid the process of independence through mindfulness, spirituality, visioning and goal setting as they resonate with client belief systems and preferences.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and a Masters in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.   I am bilingual and bicultural in Spanish and have experience with multiracial family systems and their challenges.

CRAFT family group at SRC starts (in person) Thursday, October 15th at 7:00pm.

Join us for the Advanced Recovery Systems Community Education Series!
November 5th, 2-3pm

The objective of this presentation is to illustrate how peer coaches can be a vital resource to agencies with the primary purpose of helping clients recover from addiction. To effectively have peers help organizations with their mission, it is important for them to complete formal training in peer coaching.

TIME: 2PM - 3PM MST

Big Thanks to Shannon Beemer and The Recovery Village for making this possible!
Compassionate Organizations Quiz
Does your organization foster compassion or callousness?
While we often think about compassion as an individual quality, the organizations where we spend our time—such as workplaces, schools, places of worship, and community centers—can actually impact whether and how we respond to someone in distress.

Quit Heroin
While prolonged opioid addiction is a terrible scourge in our country, one of the worst aspects of the opioid epidemic is how easy it is to overdose on these drugs. With the introduction of Chinese-made fentanyl into the illicit American market, it’s easier to overdose on opioids than ever before. However, the effects of opioid overdose can be reversed with the aid of a drug that was developed to save the lives of people who have fallen into the trap of heavy opioid use.

Recovery Hero: Sara Powell
My name is Sara Powell, and I started recovery December 11, 2015. I have been clean off meth since August 30, 2017 and clean off alcohol since October 30, 2018. My most proud achievement since I’ve been in recovery in is that I've built a wonderful relationship with my children. Also, because I'm in recovery I get to be a part of my grandchildren lives. I was at my lowest when I was in trouble with the law and facing prison time.
