Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Bringing Everyone’s Strengths Together (BEST) Grant Program 2023-2026
 
The City of San José Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services BEST Grant Program is now accepting applications for its next triennial funding cycle, which runs from September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2026.  This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is designed to create partnerships with organizations to provide youth violence prevention, intervention, and diversion services. Applicants must be a nonprofit with a 501(c)(3) status, a government agency, or a legally-recognized faith-based organization. 
 
City staff will host two identical workshops over to review the grant application content and the WebGrants system for application submission. All applicants must attend one of the two workshops in order to apply.
 
Workshops will be conducted over zoom, a communications platform that allows users to connect with video, audio, and phone. Please click on the link below and enter the password provided to join.

Job Summary
The Director of Development will spearhead We Care Solar’s overall strategy and
execution of fundraising. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and
work closely with the Board of Directors and major funders across the United States,
Europe, and Africa. We Care Solar is a collaborative team of 12 staff in the United
States and 8 staff overseas committed to implementing the WCS vision. The Director
will lead a small development department responsible for grant writing, reporting,
communications, events, and database, providing both strategic direction and support to
achieve team success.
